Blog "Relaunch"

I started this blog two years ago, and it has two posts. Since then, I got two children, moved to a new state, bought a house and a few other more personal things have happened, so I guess its time for another two posts. I originally used pyblosxom, rendered dynamically with CGI. I liked the simplicity of pyblosxom, but didn't like that by default it used the mtime of blog post files to date them. I've been slowly transitioning to a new, cheaper, virtual host, and while I was re-setting up http://mike.laiosa.org, I thought I'd try Jekyll.

Jekyll appealed to me for the same reasons the pyblosxom did, and I liked the idea of statically rendering the site. After playing around with it for a bit, I decided I wanted the entirety of mike.laiosa.org to be generated by Jekyll, not just the blog. So now it is.

I have one more post in mind, which I'll hopefully be able to finish in the next week or so. And if you're lucky, I'll average more than one post a year for a little while.
